Canes Fundraiser
WIFA will be having a Raising Cane’s fundraiser from 4-10pm on State St! WIFA gets 15% of the sales during that 6-hour period so long as you mention the Women in Finance and Accounting (WIFA) fundraiser at checkout or show this flyer. Please note that there is NO online code. PwC Professional Event
Professionals will introduce forage, a simulation that shows a day in the life of audit, tax, or IT associates. This will be followed by a panel of what it means to be a CPA, and what the different career paths look like. This professional event will take place in Grainger (rm 1295). Refreshments will be provided, and please remember that dress code is business casual.
Women in the Workplace
Join us for this educational event from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Gordon’s Dining Center - Symphony Room. There will be a panel of women from accounting and finance fields to talk about their experience in the workplace, as well as to answer questions. Food will be provided, and dress code should be business professional. Please note that you had to have previously signed up for this event to attend.
EY Professional Event
Join us for a workshop about soft skills, creating your personal brand, and navigating workplace dynamics. At the end, we will break up into smaller groups, work on some of the soft skills, and talk to the professionals. This event will be held in Grainger (rm 1295) from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Come to Vesta’s professional event were company representatives will be discussing networking, interviewing, focusing on good questions to ask professionals, and what to look for in a company. Chipotle Fundraiser
Come to Chipotle (658 State St, Madison, WI 53703) for dinner and bring your friends! If you buy chipotle from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on September 30th, WIFA will receive 25% of all sales. Advocacy in the Workplace - DEI Event
This workshop will be facilitated by the Social Justice Hub, where we'll be focusing on discovering your own different identities, intersectionality, and discuss tips on how to have difficult conversations in a workplace setting. Allyship and Empowerment Workshop
Work with the Social Justice Hub to focus on allyship, inclusive language, and female empowerment in both in schools and workplaces. We will be exploring practical strategies and resources to foster diversity and inclusion, creating environments where everyone feels valued and respected. Tagg's Fundraiser
Stop by MacTaggart's Market & Deli to get some snacks, a sandwich, and any other goodies to help support WIFA!! We get 2% of sales for the entire day so spread the word to friends and other members. Please make sure that need you say you are there for the WIFA fundraiser. This is SUPER important in order to have fundraisers there in the future!
