ABOUT US
We are an organization that targets aspiring women in business, specifically those interested in the fields of finance and accounting. In this student organization we will provide women guest speakers, community outreach, professional development, and mentorship. We aim to provide an organization that gives female students not only the confidence but also the resources they need to meet their goals and succeed. We strive to encourage inclusivity, diversity, leadership, and community involvement.
OUR VISION
As current female students interested in Finance, Accounting, and related fields, we have identified that there is a lack of women representation in the fields of Accounting and Finance. Although this is a sad reality, we would like to make a positive impact throughout the BBA program and UW Madison and influence other students who also can relate to this issue.
As ambitious and goal oriented women, we aim to provide an organization that gives female students not only the confidence, but also resources they need to meet their goals and succeed. We strive to encourage inclusivity, diversity, leadership, and community involvement.
Women in Finance and Accounting will provide is motivational and successful women guest speakers. This will lead to networking opportunities and exposure to women who have faced previous discouragement in the finance and accounting industry.
Since other students have reached out to us expressing that this is a mutual issue, we are passionate in providing an organization that will make a difference here at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The Women in Finance & Accounting organization acknowledges both the gender disparity and the need for greater diversity within finance, accounting, and related fields. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment within the organization for all women. We firmly believe that embracing diverse identities, experiences, and ideas strengthen our community. Additionally, we recognize the importance of intersectionality and hope to amplify the voices of women from diverse backgrounds, including those from marginalized communities.
Our organization will provide resources, networking opportunities, DEI training to help our members thrive in their careers and empower them to become effective leaders. We aim to create a future where all women have equal opportunities to succeed and contribute to the finance and accounting sectors.
